It started out like any normal trip to the grocery store. I typically go as early as possible to avoid crowds. I stopped in at 7:30 am last Thursday, to pick up "nacho typical thanksgiving fixins" for dinner.

I turned down the soda isle to grab some sparkling water and my eyes took in a form entering the isle at the other end. My first impression was that he was big and imposing looking. It even crossed my mind to turn around and come back later. But I was committed and began my way towards this individual. He stood about 6'4" or 6'5". He was dressed in deep black from head to foot and his skin and hair matched in color. Oddly, I was unable to comprehend his features. It was as if my eyes slid from his from his face without leaving any impressions of his actual appearance. Eventually our paths crossed. He was turned towards a shelf looking at a selection caffinated drinks when I passed behind him. It was then that I got the best impressions of him. He was (for lack of better word) chanting in a low and guttural way. Whether a result or not, Items that had been sitting quietly in my cart for 3 isles now were falling/flying out. I had to kneel to pick them up and I giggled a little nervously doing so behind this being. As I stood up, I fully took in as many details about him as possible. His clothes, from head to foot, were made of high quality black leather. I didnt detect any scent off of him but the chanting continued. Even from behind, my eyes slid right past his head and hair without registering any details beyond matching his clothes in color. A few steps passed him and my mind grasped that he had some sort of invisibility shield on. The leather of his jacket was distinctive. It was snake skin. Was he Reptilian? I know without a doubt that he was not human. Ive been digging through image archives and digital concepts while confemplating that question. Im not difinatively sure, based on my observations, such as the chanting and size, Im leaning more towards identifing it as a djinn. Regardless, it was an unusual way to start the day... and the holiday.

That afternoon we went over to Willows for a few hours of deserts, game play and tree trimming activities.

Afterwards nachoes and a movie (Five nights at Freddies) with Connor.

I spent the rest of the nice long weekend arting, playing and napping. Greg had to work on Friday and was faced with an epic molasses spill. It was remedied but it was a sticky mess.

That evening, we had company come over to play games. While I might prefer watching the fun rather than playing the games, I enjoy the company of my developing friend group and will put aside my discomfort with the entertainment for the enjoyment of the gathering.

Here are my recent art projects

Greg is doing some creative work of his own. We finally decided to get the fish tank up and running.

This week started out a little crazy. Tuesday morning we had a water leak in our small unfinished basement. There was a good 3 inches that needed to be pumped out. Yikes. It has since dried out and mold should not be an issue but what a surprise to wake up too!

Willow is doing much better with her POTS (other than fighting a flu) it still effects her but her heart is not in a constant pre faint state anymore. So there is a touch of relief around that. Shes going to visit maxs family over christmas. We will be sharing our home for that time with one more cat.. the more the merrier? Time will tell.
