My mom called today. She told me that she had just seen my city on the national news. My mind immediatly jumped to something must be happening at ICE headquarters (right around the corner) I braced to hear what was such big news... she said "Snow! At least 15 inches!" Which was weird because we really have not gotten much despite the states snow closure in advance of a noreaster.

So I sent her real pictures and told her im going to need a tiny shovel to deal with all of this! Turns out the city on the news was about a tiny ski town 2 hours south and had a similar sounding name.
While we may not have gotten dumped on, the kids in the neighborhood were out in force... playing street hockey and building snowmen. I took a little stroll and enjoyed the cool air and the company of knomes.

Willow is struggling. There is not a whole lot the she can do and she is fed up with her infirmity. Plans to go on a date before her boyfriend leaves for winter break had to be cancelled. And, well, just about anything requiring her leaving bed has had to be modified, postponed or dropped completely. She is lonely and scared. Not knowing whats wrong is worrisome. She recieved a heart monitor in the mail yesterday and she will be wearing it for a month. We still dont have neurology lined up. Thats frustrating. But they assure us that she is listed as an urgent case. Once and for all, I wish my sickly child would be better. Not being able to help is terrible.
Anyway she is finding a little entertainment, sending texts and letters to Connor from a Santa app. He doesnt know who is behind it and its rather hillarious watching him puzzle it out. Santa has made statements like "Remember Hair Gel is bad for the environment" and other random nonsense. Laughter is the best medicine.. even if it comes slightly at connors expense.
In other news, the indoor garden is growing nicely.
Weve got a few different leafy greens, some small onions and carrots to supplement our winter meals. Mmmm.
Also, yesterday I had my first (for real for real) job interview in 20+ years. It was by phone with a real person. I did alright and think Id be a great match. Anyway.. time will tell and Ill report more of what and were if it solidifies. Its only 4 hours a day which will be good and still give me time/room/space to be mom/nurse/companion seeing as these are ongoing responsibilities.
P.s. if you enjoy my posts and find yourself returning to my site time and time again ( I see you, Tucson).. why not use the chat box to say hello? Or consider joining me on the spaces by wix app? It will alert you when I post. Download the app from wherever you get apps and enter the following code: YCLHVZ
